New Restaurant and Venue Coming to London, Ohio this Summer

London, Ohio – A new destination for dining, celebrations, and community connection is coming to the heart of Madison County.  Westwood Collective, a Central Ohio-based development company known for placemaking and community-focused projects, recently announced the upcoming opening of West 40 Social, a brand-new restaurant, wedding and event venue in Downtown London, slated to open in late summer 2025.

The centerpiece of the development will be a dining concept by Jesse and Jeremy Fields, founders of London-based Mad Cow Bar & Grill.  The Fields will be the exclusive food and beverage provider for West 40 Social.  The venue will offer a casual yet elevated menu, signature cocktails, and space perfect for everything from weeknight dinners to post-wedding celebrations.

“Our family is proud to bring a modest style bistro and first of its kind event venue to the City of London,” shared Jesse Fields.  “The laid-back restaurant atmosphere with have a focus on high-quality, classic cuisine influenced by regionally sourced and inspired fare.  We can’t wait to open and share this latest concept with both new and existing patrons.” 

In addition to the restaurant, West 40 Social will feature:

• A dedicated stage for live music, hosting local and regional acts;

• Food truck parking to compliment the restaurant and bar;

• A children’s climbing park, designed to make the space family-centric;

• A beautifully designed venue, ideal for ceremonies, receptions, and private events; and,

West 40 Social will blend rustic charm with modern touches, providing a versatile setting for community events.  The ownership team hopes to host a farmer’s market every Saturday morning from May through September starting in 2026.

The project includes four contiguous parcels located at 36-42 West First Street.  More details, including an official opening date and grand opening celebration, will be announced in the coming weeks.
